Angels come in many forms! We had a follow-up at the Stollery for Amélie today and decided to pop in and visit the amazing staff that all had a hand in Amelie's recovery. I'm quite proud of myself (No Tears) 😄 but seeing their smiling faces and their excitement over her progression made my heart swell ❤ The genuine human compassion they showed while we were in the THICK of it will forever be etched on my heart, especially Dr.Charles Larson! He was apart of the team that transported Amélie from the Red Deer Hospital (RDRH) via ambulance to the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton. I'll never forget the look on his face when him and the team were leaving the Red Deer Hospital, and the look on his face after Amélie's double Cardiac arrest as she was taken into the Operating Room for her emergency surgery...sigh seeing his jubilation when we surprised him today just brought this whole trauma full circle. We will forever be grateful to all the staff from the RDRH & Stollery Hospital (I don't intend to be quiet about it 😄) because they truly deserve the praise and I will continue to be a furious advocate on button battery awareness!
