This past Monday Amélie had her 3rd Day Surgery at the Stollery Hospital. The week leading up to her surgery day is always tense for me. Although I know what to expect, I know how the procedure will go, I know that she is in great and capable hands, and I know that they will take care of my baby.

I hold onto my faith 🙏🏿 while still anxious. Quite the juxtaposition but bear in mind, I am still a parent struggling with ptsd and overcoming mom guilt from this whole ordeal (I'm working on that I promise). My mind wanders and goes to the "worst case scenario", what if her esophagus ruptures from the dilation, what if she doesn't wake up from the anesthesia, and etc. It's truly a vicious cycle if I'm being completely transparent 😥

With that said, I'm happy to share that all went well with no complications! It was so nice to see some familiar faces and new ones ❤ The Stollery always treat us so well. If you're looking for ways to support a non-profit this holiday season please consider @stollerykids
